If you ask the State, who measures the water in Menocino’s Lake Pillsbury to determine Sonoma County’s water resources, everything is just peachy. But if you go to Lake Mendocino – where our water actually comes from – we’re still in trouble. Why the discrepancy? Chalk it up to outdated regulations, bureaucratic foot dragging in Sacramento, and to our environmentalist friends who’ve blocked every attempt to bring water to south Sonoma County since they discovered that the court system was an effective way to stall any project that didn’t Kowtow to their agenda.
