If you’re looking for some good news, you might consider that we’ve been recently told the recession officially started late last year. I call this “good news” because recessions generally last about two years. If true of this recession it means it’s already about half over. I guess that makes me a “glass-half-full” kind of guy. In like fashion, how come there is so much written about everyone’s current woes, and so little about the recession’s silver lining? 6 months ago gas was hovering at $4 a gallon, and folks were bemoaning a lack of affordable housing. Now, gas is cheap, first-time home buyers can find houses for $100,000, and strapped Holiday shoppers are seeing pervasive retail price cutting.
