Well it turns out that Golden Gate Transit’s buses can’t navigate the traffic circle on South McDowell Boulevard, and the city will have to bus eastside commuters who would otherwise be left stranded to the Fairgrounds where they can catch a GG Transit Bus to SF. Presumably, the city will also add routes to return commuters from the Fairgrounds to the eastside at the end of their now somewhat longer day. If you think that’s a hassle wait until they instigate SMART rail and the city has to add additional morning and evening bus routes to get Petalumans to and from the RR terminal. I can see new carbon footprints – make that bus tire marks – all over town….
