You’d think that a town whose roads need re-paving as badly as the roads in Petaluma do would welcome a handy source of asphalt. But of course you would be guilty of using logic, the anathema of all those who pursue utopian ideals at all costs. The utopian ideal in this case being a would-be bird sanctuary in town where birds are so plentiful that the locals want them driven off from Luchessi Park and other public spaces. Of course, Common Loons, don’t hang around the Luchessi pond…their off organizing the protest to the proposed asphalt plant.
