If you came to Petaluma expecting consistency, logic and common sense you were mislead.

As disappointing as it may be to some local non-profits who rely on annual firework sales for their revenue, I suspect that the sale of personal fireworks are going the way of the backyard incinerator, leaf burning, and campfires. It’s a pity, too. It’s not like fireworks are more dangerous now than they ever were. But, I suspect that folks are somehow less responsible. Either that, or our burgeoning Nanny-State is bent on removing yet one more hazard from the padded cell they’d like to remake America into.
