News from the War on Truth, Honesty, and the American Way being conducted by the current President: the eight experts asked by the Obama administration to make recommendations regarding offshore drilling (in the wake of the BP disaster) just came out and complained that Obama apparatchiks inserted a ban on offshore drilling under their signatures in their report...even though they had explicitly recommended AGAINST such a ban as harmful to the Gulf state's economy. I think doctoring an official report may actually be a crime, though I doubt you'll hear much about it from the ever-worshipful media.
The wizards in Washington DC are pressing for increased, and increasingly invasive, body scanning technology in airports. If you lack the body, or the aspirations, of a centerfold you might want to send your congressperson a strongly-worded note suggesting that TSA personnel spend a little more time actually scrutinizing the individuals crowded in the security lines and less time peering into their x-ray vision, and soon-to-be x-rated, computer monitors.
The seat of our government is snowed under. Yah, yah, we know you've heard this before. But this time it's not due to spurious legislation, rampaging hordes of lobbyists, or lurid scandals. This time it's really snow.
From the point of view of the Senate Democrats promoting the unionization of the TSA, I can understand the appeal of adding 50,000 dues-paying members to their largest PAC, especially since they almost never have to face the typical pre-flight logjam.
