I posted a critique of the insipid video “selfie,” Blurred Vines awhile back, as a comment on the impoverished content that passes for creativity in some quarters. I took it down because I’d run out of steam trying to convince people that this sort of self-infatuated blather actually does a company more harm than good. Rather than looking hip and ironic, purveyors of this Ed Wood-quality tripe reveal themselves as chowderheads who get high on their own flatulence. Recently, I was encouraged not to give up the fight for intelligent content despite those who claim 25,000 views on YouTube is some sort seal of approval. Just so you know, “Dog Vomiting” has 60,000 views…and counting.
