I offer my heartfelt condolences to the members of the Petaluma City Council for undertaking the thankless job of untangling the myriad of conflicting agendas that paralyze our local political process. Add to this burden the albatross of dwindling city revenues Of course, this particular albatross is largely the fault of previous City Councils for diddling about, or outright blocking, efforts to bring new tax-revenue generating business to town. Looming over our fair city is the juggernaut of civic inertia that’s harder to turn the Exxon Valdez, and just as dangerous to our local environment as the tanker was to Alaskan shores.
