Add “right of way” to the long list of things that everyone wants to have, but not so many want to share. To be fair, drivers aren’t the only culprits in the game of crosswalk chicken. Petaluma has more than it’s share of self-righteous pedestrians who feel entitled to step aggressively into the path of any on-coming vehicle no matter it’s velocity or mass. Apparently they believe that the laws of traffic will protect them from the laws of physics.
