Harry Potter’s return suggested a solution to Petaluma’s management vacancy. After all, one would have to do magic to solve our City’s chronic problems…and I don’t mean just escalating water rates, emboldened gangs, under funded police and fire departments and wacko schemes to manage street traffic. The real challenge for a new City Manager is coping with the small but disproportionately vocal cadres who vehemently oppose every perceived threat to their cherished biases and the politicians jostling to curry their favor.
